Terms of Service

1. About Safqatna

Safqatna (صفقتنا) — formerly known as Fakah — is a consumer-to-consumer marketplace operated in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Safqatna provides the platform and a managed delivery service between buyers and sellers. Safqatna is not a party to the sale itself; the contract of sale is between the buyer and the seller. Payment processing is not yet enabled — see section 4.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and resident in Bahrain to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with notice of the reason.

3. Listings and prohibited items

Sellers are responsible for describing items accurately, including condition and any faults. The following may not be listed: weapons, medicines and controlled substances, counterfeit goods, recalled products, live animals, financial instruments, stolen property, and any item whose sale is restricted under Bahraini law. Safqatna may remove listings that violate this policy.

4. Payments, cancellation, and seller payouts

Safqatna is not yet processing payments. No payment method is connected, no money is collected from buyers, and no funds are transferred to sellers. Orders placed today record the amounts described below but move no money. We will update these Terms before payment processing begins.

Buyers pay the item price plus the displayed delivery fee at checkout. Delivery is charged per pickup, based on the largest item's size: items collected from the same seller at the same address travel together, and you pay that pickup's rate plus a smaller charge for each extra item on it. Buying from several sellers means several pickups, so each one is charged. The fee shown at checkout is the fee charged. Once payment processing is enabled, Safqatna — not the seller — will collect and hold the buyer's payment until the order is delivered.

A platform fee is deducted from the seller's payout. Other amounts a seller owes Safqatna are also deducted from their payouts, oldest first, and may reduce a payout to nothing — for example, a fee charged when a pickup fails because the item was not available or did not match its listing.

When a seller is paid. A payout is normally released about 24 hours after delivery is confirmed. That is the usual case and not a maximum: a payout is held, with no upper limit, for as long as any of the following applies —

  • a dispute is open on the order, or the order is under review;
  • the seller has not added bank details, or has added or changed them in the last 24 hours;
  • Safqatna has placed a hold on the order;
  • the seller's account is suspended;
  • Safqatna has paused payouts across the platform.

A seller can see which of these applies on the order itself.

An order may be cancelled and refunded in full at any time before a driver has been dispatched to collect the item.

Once a driver has been dispatched you can no longer cancel the order yourself, but that is not the end of your options. If the driver finds the item is not as described, or the seller is not there, the pickup is stopped and you are refunded in full automatically. Safqatna can also refund an order at any point before it completes. If something is wrong before your item arrives, contact us — the dispute process in section 7 does not open until after delivery.

5. Delivery

Delivery is performed exclusively by Safqatna's verified drivers. Handover is confirmed by the driver with photo documentation at both collection and delivery. Buyers and sellers must not arrange their own exchange of items for orders placed through the platform.

6. No off-platform deals

Arranging payment or delivery outside the platform for an item listed on Safqatna is prohibited. Off-platform transactions are not covered by buyer protection or dispute resolution, and repeated attempts to move deals off-platform may result in account suspension.

7. Disputes and refunds

Buyers may raise a dispute within 24 hours of delivery if an item is not as described, damaged, or not received. Safqatna reviews the evidence from both parties and will either refund the buyer or release payment to the seller. Safqatna's decision on a dispute is final within the platform, without prejudice to your statutory rights under Bahraini consumer protection law.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Safqatna's liability for any claim arising from an order is limited to the total amount paid for that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on the platform in advance. These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the courts of Bahrain have jurisdiction over any dispute that cannot be resolved through the platform.
